Dear Family,
What a week we've had! From beginning to end it has been wonderful!!!! :)
Monday- Super fun ward FHE!! The McKells, the missionary senior couple
in our ward, put together what they called the Balloon Olympics!!
Balloons were everywhere! It was a lot of fun and our recent convert
and her daughter loved it so much that are coming back every week
because they loved it so much!
Tuesday- we met with a member who is preparing herself to go through
the temple for her endowments for the first time. She has a lot on her
plate right now and realizes that the only way to overcome her
challenges is to endure to the end! She made us a delicious
Trinidadian dish with corn beef, lots of vegetables, and orange juice
that is filled with sugar :). We were grateful for the food and so
grateful to hear that she is preparing for that sacred experience. I
know that the blessings of the temple, as long as covenants are kept,
bring more happiness than anything else we could ever imagine!
Wednesday- we had lunch with a sister from the ward who is going
though some changes in her life that are causing her to miss Sundays.
She is amazing and was actually taught by my trainer. She is trying to
make church part of her routine and part of her every week life. She
said that church is just as important as brushing your teeth or taking
a shower. It is a necessity. She has great faith and I am so grateful
for the opportunity that we have to get to know her. I love her so
much!
Thursday- on Thursdays we have started meeting with a senior sister in
the ward who is confined to her home for medical purposes. She is from
Thiland and has the coolest stories. She loves the gospel so much and
reads from the Book of Mormon to us in Chineese. I love her so much.
She may be cutting my hair next week... We'll see how that goes. :)
Friday- Friday was a long day. It started at 3:30am and hasn't really
ended ha ha. Everything is going well though and after a hospital
visit, loving Senior Couples and a blessing I have been blessed :)
Heavenly Father is looking out for me here. I could never deny that we
have a Father who loves us. There have been to many miracles and
things that shouldn't have happened that did, for the better, that
confirm to my every thought, there is a God. He love ME and he loves
EVERYONE!!
Speaking of there really being a God. I don't remember if I told you
about my atheist friend in Bay Shore... His name is Eddie. Anyways, on
Friday I found out that Eddie watched all of general conference,
including the Priesthood session, is reading the Book of Mormon, and
has decided through a miracle that there is a God. He is getting
Baptized on April 27!!!!
No time to finish but i love you all!
