I should be really angry at you for even mentioning that you saw Les Mis TWICE! also that you mentioned that it was nominated for the Oscars etc. We had a deal and you broke it so that should warrant anger and bitterness but Oh no! I am a strong person who can handle deal breakers like you. Ha ha just kidding. I have heard that it was really amazing and I am glad you enjoyed it so much. I agree with your comment on talent. Our talents are made so much stronger when we give glory to our Father in Heaven. After all, He is the one who blesses us with them. It would be silly to ignore the source from witch they received their "claim to fame and glory." If only they did know what glory really was! I hope they will understand and accept it one day!
Transfers were last week and we received two new Elders into our district who are going to be absolutely amazing! Both are almost done with their missions. One (Elder Jean-Baptist, from Haiti) has 1 month left and the other (Elder Webber, from Provo UT) has 6 months left. They both have strong desires to finish strong and they working very hard to fulfill that desire.Elder Jean-Baptist actually has family in the ward. The ward and the missionaries have been trying hard to re-activate them so hopefully having their son and brother serving as a missionary here will help with that a lot. President forgot that Elder Jean-Baptist's family lived here but said that if he forgot it was for a reason and that he needed to be here to finish out his mission. Elder Jean-Baptist will actually "come home" to this ward in a month so it is really interesting. I really hope we can help his family. We've been trying so hard before he got here so again, hopefully they will come back! Elder Webber has a great story as well. Has been through a lot and we are grateful to have his strength here in Bay Shore. All four of us in our district are 23 so... mini blessing! :) jk, but really :)
The Spanish ward is going crazy with baptisms! They had three last week and two yesterday! They are all working so hard and their investigators are truly loving this gospel and happiness it brings. Yesterday's baptism was really quite special (unfortunately I don't know their names so I'm sorry for that). These new members have been "investigating" the church for 20 years, yes that's right 20. They had two or three children together and most of the members thought they were members a long time ago. They came to church every week and always served others and have strong testimonies, they were just never married or baptized. Saturday was their wedding at the church and Sunday was their baptism. The whole ward came to both and their son was able to baptize them! It was an AWESOME experience (even though I had no idea what was being said)! The spirit was so strong and the joy on their faces was so beautiful! We are so happy for them!!! I love the joy this gospel brings into the lives of those who will accept it!
Ok have a wonderful week!!
